Patrick Holcomb, Executive Vice President, Intergraph PPM
Patrick is Executive Vice President of Business Development for Intergraph's PPM division, with responsibility for product marketing, product management, and division alliances. Patrick has a background in the process industry engineering, technology startups, IT strategy, and global software marketing. Prior to working at Intergraph, Patrick was founder and VP Business Development for Industria, securing $34M in initial capital for a procurement and materials management software startup in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, his experience at Accenture in San Francisco was in the arena of IT Strategy and corporate development. Patrick's first job, was with ExxonMobil where he held several roles including maintenance engineer, process engineer, and refinery coordinator. Patrick's education includes a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Tom Van Laan, Senior Vice President, CADWorx & Analysis Solutions, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine
Thomas J. Van Laan, PE, is the senior vice president of the CADWorx & Analysis Solutions group at Intergraph Process, Power & Marine. Since 1989, he has been extensively involved in the development of products such as Intergraph® CAESAR II®, the world's leading pipe stress program, and the Intergraph CADWorx® Plant Design Suite, a range of AutoCAD-based plant and piping design solutions. With 29 years of engineering and software experience, Mr. Van Laan is considered to be an expert in the fields of pipe stress analysis and design, having taught over 75 training courses worldwide and having co-authored the engineering text Piping and Pipe Support Systems: Design and Engineering. Mr. Van Laan holds degrees in civil engineering, computer science and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York Institute of Technology and Pace University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states.
